From bright sunlight comes a fine new wind I feel
Yet, whatever can I do or say
When I hear names with sights and sound which still
Glance along my cheek
Each day

Traveling as a faint light with eyes that cannot be misled
Round my lips, I wear a knowing smile
Listening to words that sing out in my head
From a book, I have been reading
For miles and miles

I hear a voice calling out to me from the hills and seas
My inner child I do believe
Asking why I keep trying to always be
The one who will never
Quit or leave

As I travel as this light, I cannot help but wonder how
I can still love and laugh when naught remains
Perhaps this fine new wind I can feel
Has come to tell me that all I say and do
Is not ever done
In vain
