From the very beginning
we are told we have time.
Always being told to wait.
Don't rush to find love,
it will come to you in time.
Don't do what you want now,
do it later when your responsibilities
are done and squared away.
But we spend our whole lives
Waiting.
Thinking we have time
Time to find love
Time to find happiness
But life doesn't work like that
We are spiraling towards our demise
at a speed too fast to fathom.
One by one passing by opportunities
that we should have taken
Following each other as we go
on this unpredictable path that is
Life.
You may think it won't happen to you
but the fact of the matter is
We are all going.
