I don't want to do this, say goodbye
forever is such a short word
yet a long lasting scar on my heart
your toughness was just a facade
inside, the lite of love shined bright
your presence commanded attention
your touch soft as the summer breeze
the smoothness of your sway collects us
as if to say, come with me, I am your protector
I will see you with the other shining stars
just above the horizon, winking at us
then peeking at us while we dream
so I won't say goodbye, just hello to the
night sky
