In her voice, I could hear
An ever-shifting atmosphere.
That grew quiet as I drew near;
Though the noise did not disappear
The sky was never as clear
As when she'd whisper in my ear.
For in her touch, I would feel
Something that was more than real.
A dream that daylight could not ****
And what made everything else stand still.
But love forbade my heart to rest until,
Her stare confessed what she'd not reveal.
For in the mirror of her eyes, I could see
Everything reflect except for me.
