Purgatory
In a putrid darkness
i slept
my despairing soul
longed to be one
a fragile voice
beckoning...
calling to me
from the darkness
"is that you?"
i asked the nothing
do you know
that once, long ago
We we're one
but life is a chain
of perpetual breaths
and breath infuses dreaded clay
with unholy life
it corrupts the purity
of something complete
like my soul
that once was our soul
again i hear the voice
i know it is you
all these years
i dreamed of you
this shapeless void
has gained wisdom
to move it's fragile limbs
towards your guiding light
my love
i am coming...
