We used to live in paradise,
we'd hang out on our roof
to catch a buzz & watch
the sun go down.

The crack of ***** would
waft up through the foliage,
girls would giggle
& the guys howl,
as we sipped merlot,
part of our private collection.

Iquanas would stretch their muscle
& I would count
the freckles on your back,
beautiful like constellations
in own little universe.

For it was only you & me,
lizards and pool halls
& nothing else.
And, it was truly Shangri-la.
