I watched
the attack,
the ****, then
the splitting
of the spoils.

With precision
& in good order,
they dissected
the carcass
like skilled pros.

I watched them
dismantle the legs
with great speed,
just like the wings
& antennae
taken away
quickly
in a caravan.

Such action
takes place 24/7
on mounds
everywhere,
on the killing fields
of the insect world.
