Are you listening...

Are you listening to what I say

Or rolling your eyes

You don't feel the same way

You're silent but I feel a goodbye

My tear-soaked pillow

Yours dry as a bone

Are we just that different

Or do you long to be alone

I'm dying here

I'll die there

What does it matter

Where or where

I'm chilled and in the way

Your arms the only remedy

Cold I am; cold I'll stay

Alone in this home

Perhaps you do hear me

And block out what I say

Unable to give me what I need

Ready to throw me away
