I'm talking to myself again
My thoughts are eating me alive
you filled my head with thoughts of gold.
I was always the colorless one
but your voice, your words
turned my cheeks bright red,
my eyes a sparkly green,
and my soul golden.
You howled to take me back to bed after the sun dropped
you took your colors back
again, I was the colorless one.
