Blind-Sided

If you could see the world through my eyes

You might begin to understand

How I'm not like many others

Your feet will never fill my shoes

You might say I'm unique

There's only a few like me

It makes it difficult

To be certain it's what I want

Could be solved

By a trip to my mind

Nowhere else to retreat

And contemplate these thoughts

And yes when my life comes down to it

It isn't all that bad

Might take some getting used to

But I'll see clearly in the end

If you could see the world through my eyes

You might begin to understand

How hard it is to see

With my glasses in my hand

So I wear glasses, what else is new?
