Poems
Apr 2014
untitled
our footsteps in synchronisation
rang and echoed
with more depth than the
actions that ensued
i remember the coldness in the air
the biting gravitation of your body
in
proximity
too far and never close enough
and how i spoke from the heart,
whilst tripping over the nuances
the syntax
the delivery
the night is kinder than usual;
you're very distracting when you smile
snuffing out turns of phrase
& you're so sweet it makes me nauseous
in the prettiest of ways
-- and the way i saw you then
a pleasant melody in my mind
sweeping through the senses
free and unrefined
and i am humming
the tune, the best i can, for you
