Sand Castles
I had a dream last night
You, my love were there
We walked along the shoreline
The wind blew through our hair
We walked hand in hand
Collecting shells
And watching the ocean's beauty deep
We pledged our love forever
A promise
We planned to keep
We built castles in the sand
Fortresses we thought would hold
Our defense against the world
To keep our love from growing cold
We took the lovely shells we found
And placed them one by one
Around the walls of our castle grounds
To show our love
To everyone
As we looked upon the beauty
Of what we two had built
The tide rushed in and took it all
And left us standing there in guilt
My love
Let's let this dream of mine
Be a lesson learned
A strong foundation
Built on solid ground
Will lasting love
Forever earn
