Broken like the shadows dancing on my walls
Is the darkness in my heart, that of which you take hold
And with mending hands, a touch so gentle
The demons so softly begin to fade away

Lightness fills the spaces between the dancers within my soul
And you spin me in an elegant waltz that brightens the room
Brighter than any star that has ever shone over the empty galaxy
A touch so promising
that I'd dare never to fade away
As our dance turns into an entangled grasp
Tender as the wind kissing my cheek are your fingers entwined in my hair
Fierce as the storm raging outside on this winter night is the tug you give when I gasp for air

And falling never felt so auspicious
As any truth I've ever heard
But I know your words ring true
As "I Love You"'s are whispered into my mind
and felt within
my bones
