I began to think
I was ugly and felt like an
outcast very early
in life.
It started in Elementary
school when I
realized that nobody
wanted to play with me
at recess.
The girls turned up
their noses and
the boys were nonexistent.
Maybe that's why
I still struggle with
what I see in my reflection.
But kids can be mean.
And so can I.
