what is this maddening roar speaking to me
saying that you'll be gone
you said you wanted to be free
but didn't have to run

You left me as the moon leaves the dark night skies
as the morning sun rises from the flattened horizon
your light is shining to the final outburst
reflecting the rainbow through the crystal from my eyes

This is the final hour and I have to leave you be
sprouts will be bared soon when cutting down a tree
even the crystals, now a stream, are waving you goodbye
this is the last my light there's nothing more to try

a shadow approaches and hollows the Earth
as I watch you being lowered to the depths
from dirt you came and to dirt you'll be
even
       if
          you
                  leave
                          me
                               now
I will love you to death
