The pitter patter on the floor,
the warm welcome as you walk in.
This is your comfort,
this is man's best friend.

They bark at the door,
when any stranger comes near.
Letting you know,
"Master, someone's here!"

They listen to you cry,
when it seems no one else will.
They make you laugh,
and always give you a thrill.

A dog, a pet, but more than that,
it's a family memeber.
And when they're taken away,
they remain in your heart forever.
This was written in memory of a beloved dog named Lucy. We all grew up with her, and she was more than just our best friend's pet. She was a member of their family. Lucy Lou, you will be missed <3 RIP
