In the moments before sleep
I lie awake in bed
Reminiscing
Some things are forgotten
Some things I wish I could,
but others are sweet
like chocolate kisses
placed upon ones lips.
I hear whispers from the trees,
telling me to close my eyes,
and sleep.
So with a final thought of my beau
I drift off into my dreams
of a future unlike the world
I've come to know.
