What are friends if not weights meant to hold you down?
They hold you down when you try to excel.
They treat you rudely in the face of kindness.
They even remember the day you fell and almost became headless.
Friends keep your soul shackled when everything seems to be tugging.
Friends remind you that living isn't such a hassle.
Friends keep you happy and that's a lot.
What are friends if not weights meant to hold you down.
