I was born a little girl, my parents were very proud. I was born on New Year's Day; the excitement was very loud. The "Daily Press" interviewed my parents, because I was one of the first to be born. They presented my parents with a necklace of my birth announcement, so around my neck it was worn. I wore that special necklace, until I finished High School. It was so precious, it was something I thought I would never lose. I'm so glad I was born a girl; I will never be ashamed. I am glad also, that they gave me a precious name.
