I  had expressed my intentions to you
with great eagerness and verve;
promising we would meet
anytime before twelve.

Before it gets any later,
before i lose another chance;
I must prove to you
that my devotion is constant.

Before my eyes get heavy
and objects begin to blur,
I ought to give account
of what i have used my time for.

You are my priority;
the one around whom my life revolves.
But my actions alone give these words meaning,
and this is why i must cease to stall.

You deserve undivided attention-
thus i now disregard all else.
My word I must indeed keep,
before the clock strikes twelve.
I have been procrastinating my quiet time for much too long...
