From where you're perched,
                you can see the world
Well, so can I from these
              snow-socked streets.
Slide across a frozen sidewalk,
meet me up for a drink.

I'm epilogue and yellowed,
when you're fresh off the press.
Winters never end, though the
temperatures rise
So buy
                    in,
I'll buckle up.
Shake me down
              to my guts.
Ya know, we struck out looking
                  our last time up
                                       But
the price is right
And
it's no lie:
I ******' love the way you smile
where you tighten your eyes.

I'll take a dive and catch you
when you fall from the sky
if you'll forgive the way I squint
into the Springtime sunrise.
