Sitting side by side
happiness not felt for a desolate while
As hand creeps around shoulder
causing silent giggle and nervous smile

A sigh of relief
as her head against him lean
Heart beating and eyes closing
feeling that what cannot be seen

Both unsure
from the pasts pain that has been dealt
But both eased
as the presence of the other is felt

And as the moments fade
laying there with nothing in their sight
They lay comfortably motionless
as day rapidly turns to night

For they are both nervous
that the wrong message they might send
So they quietly lay there against each other
begging for the day to never end
