Insomnia
I can't sleep
Not now, not ever
My mind wanders
Hoping, searching, dying for answers
To questions that have none.
I am afraid
Not of death, but pain
Lost in uncertainty
Hoping, searching, dying for comfort
In this murky sea of anxiety
I need to know
Where I will finish
I can only look back
Hoping, searching, dying to know
If these are the right choices
So I can relax,
Put my mind at ease,
And finally get some sleep.
