4am
I lay here restless
My mind carving a path
Through the air in this room.
I think of all the things I've done
And what I've yet to do.
The clock ticks
And the dark corners of the room begin to grow.
Still I lay here
Waiting for a reason to sleep
I lay here waiting for the sun to tell
The story of a new day -
I lay here waiting to feel
Something more than I felt yesterday
