I'm just an empty shell,
of a broken man,
doing all I can,
to stand on two feet.

I can't find my place,
I can't get a break,
so I make an escape,
I'm getting out of here.

You can't give love,
and then take it away.
You can't give love,
and then run away.

I gave you the key,
and you walked right in,
reeking of sin,
I said I love you.

You took my heart,
I took your ****,
and that's not it,
that's not where it ends.

You can't give love,
and then take it away.
You can't give love,
and then run away.

And when I woke up one morning,
you were gone.
But what else did I expect,
you weren't the first one.

I can't catch a break,
so I escape,
I escape.
