I promised you I wouldn't
That I would stay cut free
I was so convincing
That I made myself believe

I told you they weren't very deep
In hopes that it would help
But still I had broken my promise
And inflicted harm upon myself

But this time I do mean it
I threw my blade away
My skin will clear, and like I promised
It will stay that way
