I love to escape
from the daily doldrums.
These days (and nights)
it seems like all I do
is fade in and out
of poetry,
penning
some true stories
of my own,
revealing real emotions,
trying to connect
to other creative people.

And if one of my pieces
hits your bull's eye,
makes your heart melt,
gives you goose bumps,
then I'd say
I hit my mark,
created a bit of a spark.

O sweet,
I am ever so grateful
to be understood,
even if it is
just in verse & rhyme.

You can be my muse anytime
& take me down
with your heartfelt words.
