how do I describe your scent
without catching its sweetness
on the roof of my mouth;
the cave walls of my nose
and the vicinity of my memory?

how do I describe your scent
without tasting it on the tip of my tongue;
smelling its heartfelt significance
and falling for its distinct soft aroma
all over again?

I   d o n ' t   k n o w .
But the better question seems to be:

how do you still manage
to get me tongue tied and twisted;
sputtering nonsense
as if it were English?

I doubt you know either.
