slide
slide down the velvet pipes
of every inner wish and dream
your mind has created for you

wash
wash yourself off on mossy banks
gone are the ghosts of yesterday
your skin is free from the memories that have found a home
underneath your fingernails

sing
sing for beauty
sing for peace
sing for love
sing for light
sing for your brothers
sing for your sisters

and dance
without care
without cause
dance
simply
because
you
still
can
dance

and if you want to laugh
go ahead and laugh
fill your lungs with the stories of the trees
the whispers of the wind
the sounds of the sky
lose yourself in a moment of infinince

wake up
take a step
look around you
find your way down a long hall
fill your cup with coffee
take a seat at a vacant table
pick up the morning paper
find your car keys
drive to work
STOP
look to your left
look to your right
step out of your vehicle
take your hands off of the wheel
detour
take the first path you set your eye on
follow that path until you come to a cliff
look up
look down
do you jump
or turn around
close your eyes
breath in
breath out
sing
dance
laugh
and realize
you are home
