RAGE
RAGE
The words turn in her head
Simmering to a boil
Thoughts in a frenzy
Heart in turmoil
Something is said
She looks for guidance
None is there
The words burn the mind
Blood races
Heart pounds
Head aches
She feels the pain
She lashes out
A teasing gesture
Becomes a serious blow
Feeling attacked
Yet doesn’t let go
Blood is on fire
Like molten lava
Thoughts are sinful
Actions destructive
She wants to scream
To make sure they hurt
She wants to let go
But is lost
Rage is complete
As it consumes the soul
A casual statement
Is all it takes
To make her lose control
Looking for help
Yet no one notices
She pleads, begs
Yet still no answer
Finally it happen
Control is lost
Rage takes over
No other options are open
It has to stop
She picks up a knife
Plunging it in her heart
No longer able to control the fierce anger
And now her rage
Bleeds over the floor
As the lifeless form
Is finally released from the prison of rage
