Dreams
Dreams filter through the neurons of the brain
Spinning through time and space
Love fresh like the spring air
Stings like the ***** of the thorn
Thunder clouds eat across the dreams
Killing the love as it consumes the spring air
The thorns lay dull on the ground
No longer able to damage
Sensations fill the heart
Love soars the air like a bird in flight
Smiles on the lovers faces
Suddenly the sensations die
The bird takes cover
The smiles turn to frowns
The heart disappears
Spring air becomes cold as winter
Freezing the heart
Hiding it from the pain
Keeping it safe from destruction again
She is looked at as cold
Not understanding she has just died inside
The walls are strong
Built by the many before You came along
Don't try to get past
The test you nay will ever pass
Let her be
Allow her peace and rest
Perhaps the dreams will return
and the heart will thaw
