Hello
Hello
I speak and you turn
My voice touching you
You feel it within your body
Your stomach jumps when
My voice says a mere "hello"
You think about me
All day long
Dream about me
All night long
At work you day dream
About the day we spent
By the river bank
You wonder how
You became so lucky
You ask how come
I affect you so
My fingers caress your face
My thumb slides across your lips
The fire burns in you
You feel yourself opening
Like a flower
Exposing your inner being
To my touch
To my words
Your heart beats faster
As my voice coaxes you
Asking you to share
One secret then another
Next thing you know
You cannot stay away from me
I am in your thoughts always
And you become the insecure one
Worried and doubting my feelings
You long for my attention
Yet are afraid to tell me
That you have surrendered your soul
To me the one who said "hello"
