I wish I kept my infant eyes.
Maybe then hope would conquer.
Are we inclined to stick to our guts?
All I am, I am for me.
You threw me in the silver lake,
and you knew I would shiver.
At least you gave me crystal vision.
I’ve never seen so far ahead.
You could never keep me down
  you always spat me out.
I thank you for those one liner truths.
