Oh The Irony
My burden when shes by my side
The skies fell grey from winters rain
beautiful as her morphine tipped name
and autumn nights as summers died
my only pain when shes here with me
the trees gone bare and world awry
and finding pleasure in not knowing why
but letting the sorrow continue to be
she tears at me and calls my name
begging to be saved once more
like clothes left upon a bedroom floor
or forgetting how to walk down memory lane
...its a monarch butterfly and iced tea day
a warm rain leaves angst in the air
by burden when she doesnt care
is what is there for me to save?
oh
oh the irony
