Jan 2014
i want to catch the butterflies that are your laughter
and save them for later
in a little jar tied closed with flower stems
and covered in stickers of moons and stars

then when i’m miles away
and have to settle for static and pixels
i’ll open the jar only for a second
just long enough to hear one of your giggles
a sound sweeter than jasmine honey

and you won’t be so far away
