An Exchange
I looked with the intent to hear his thoughts-
Both of us held used booklets.
"She symbolizes passivity," he,
in acquiescence, whispered.
My espionage, my love, won thusly:
Before his whisp'ring ceased,
Great passivity fell like a curtain
Between that sweet boy and me.
