I looked with the intent to hear his thoughts-
Both of us held used booklets.

"She symbolizes passivity," he,
in acquiescence, whispered.

My espionage, my love, won thusly:
Before his whisp'ring ceased,

Great passivity fell like a curtain
Between that sweet boy and me.
