Day in and day out,
I sit on my porch,
And watch the sun rise and fall in the sky,
As I wait for my last days.

I listen to the rain as it hits the ground,
Which sounds like a fat juicy steak,
When it sizzles on the grill.

I smell the beautiful flowers in the garden,
As I close my eyes.

I feel my soul leave me,
As it floats effortlessly,
Above my lifeless body.

It watches my house shrink,
As it flies,
To those golden gates in the sky,
To meet its everlasting fate.
