The black hole is a pit where emotions are thick,
And the will to climb out is often ****** away.

One may see the day but in a dull grey fashion,
As the brightest day seems like a dawning night.

Emotions rise and fall like a weathered flag,
Often shaking alone in the wind but never broken.

They say a chemical cocktail will smooth the roughest oceans,
But it is not the troubled seas rather the water in the boat with me.

The hollow that is so deep with a minuscule light to reach for,
Still a fight can be made with love that beats on your door.

It may be hard to find the guiding illumination from the abyss,
There are those around that would drag fire through the dark.

If only they could make it bright enough to see,
That the only force keeping you down there.

Is the one that none of us can fight or even see....
