Lurking
What lurks inside me,
what keeps me up at night,
is of no concern to you.
You're delicate soul,
pure and whole,
would be tainted by me.
We aren't not meant to be.
I am wrong,
I am black,
I am darkness,
I will attack,
and tear at,
your innocent flesh,
and leave you alone,
and full of regret.
I will destroy you,
and then decimate whatever purity you have left.
And I won't care,
at least not like you want me too.
So please,
for both of us,
leave here tonight,
and never come back.
