Wrong Choice

I took a leap of faith

And landed in your arms;

Believing all the smooth talk

That you would do no harm.

How was I to know

Your a ****** of the mind?

You took everything from me,

When I thought that you was kind.

My cuts, they are, still healing

From you razor blades of words.

My confidence in bandages

But, the wounds, they still, hurt.

Lucky for me, a ******

Don't stay long.

I refuse to let you beat me

My resolve forever strong.
