Dec 2013
thunder rumbles threatening
lightning flashes high

she screams and rips the clouds
we travel through the sky

wonder if it matters
the air we seem to crave

no longer as we fly
nothing left to save

if you hear a shadow
a chill and don’t know why

it’s the answer only silent
and only passing by

breathe now my darling
the sun is setting fast

the things that fill your heart
were never meant to last

so hold the moment softly
kiss things you knew before

touch my hand again
no air matters anymore
