Beyond the hills
lost in life's forest, will I be found
harsh winds, blanket me with chills
is here, where I'm forever bound.

My path to freedom, covered by leaves
once having hope, I now turn dreary
for the star that lights my way, deceives
I fall, from this forest I'll never be free.

As I lie here helplessly
feeling soothed, by the nights tune
my eyes become droopy
as I am cradled, by the moon.
