Dec 2013
I left my safe haven and walked
into the dark.
i felt my heart
begin to freeze with the snowflakes.

still, i continued in silence
not expecting
(or neglecting)
to care about my budding health.

my being's drum began to slow.
i didn't care;
i didn't dare
when i had nothing to offer.

but then i heard your voice calling,
yelling to me.
recalling me
back to earth and to my purpose.

and i had become I again.
And Everything
That I Would Sing
Had Become Strong And Important.

Please do not make any mistake
You may have helped
But I have dealt
With this type of problem before.

All I had needed was a push
To remember
I have embers
And the power to relight them
