If you knew
If you knew that this ship,
was just about to sail,
would you be inclined, to climb aboard,
and lean over the rail?
And if you knew you had the time,
before you had to choose,
would it make deciding easier,
knowing that you could not lose?
But if you knew that time,
for us was running out,
would you at last commit,
and cast off any doubt?
If you knew that this was right,
just as you know that that is wrong,
would it make you more impatient,
to change the path you're on?
If you knew what I was thinking,
would you understand?
Would you give me signs of hope,
or let go of my hand?
