moon song

I hear the moon talk to me sometimes.

She tells me her secrets,

and secrets about the stars.

In return,

I tell her my secrets,

and my story.

She tells me how she got her scars

and her bruises.

I tell her how I got mine.

She sings me her song,

and I sing along.

Because me and her

are more similar

than we’d like to admit.

Maybe that’s why I stare at the sky so much.
