Evanescence

I don't remember much

The windows were too wide

The light poured in

Milk from the jug

She lay still on the bed

An image of herself

A sun-bleached polaroid

And a papery skin that disappeared into the sterile

White

Hospital

Tiles

So you couldn't tell where she began

And where she ended.
