14/Britain God's in his heaven. All's right with the world.
Imagine for a moment- For one single infinity, that you have a love Invisible except for the safety pin Which tethers it to Your half-there heart Locked in the cage of your ribs. It's unimportant But it's free, it's yours It's the secret you've always wanted to keep. Architectural words won't cut it So you **** the page And watch the ink bleed Hope burning out each syllable The hope that someone wants To find the key Which you tossed so hopelessly Into the darkness.

Introverted Daydreams
He sits down Pulling at the sleeves of his shirt And covers his elbows And his wrists Because his dad doesn't like his mum And his mum doesn't like him And he Doesn't Like Himself.

He's not Crying
Mermaid turquoise hair, She clips it back with stars, And ignores the glances.

My Kind of Cool

Lead rooftops from Montmartre You look down at them The sun reflected right back at you A glimpse of heaven God's design Making the city glitter But you don't believe in him The historically portrayed white man The stem The root Of your cynic patriarchal spite He only gave you an eye for The famous white authors And the missing woman legacy The lack-lustre masculine flair Of our HIStory He gave you faith And you put it in Bikini ****

Paris
I don't remember much The windows were too wide The light poured in Milk from the jug She lay still on the bed An image of herself A sun-bleached polaroid And a papery skin that disappeared into the sterile White Hospital Tiles So you couldn't tell where she began And where she ended.

Evanescence
Curtains flowing white silk, It's cigarette smoke on the wind, But you know it's amiss, Because they never fight, So you drown in cold, hollow silence, The insomniac's sleep paralysis, That chamomile tea bitter on your tongue, The bag dunked into the cure overstayed it's welcome, Maybe they're just asleep, But you know that's a lie, And so's the tea.
