Before I Disappear

You are not talking to me,

breaking me inside.

You are not writing to me,

and I am losing myself.

You are not

thinking about me,

yet my thoughts keep circling

back to you

like an infinite loop.

Whenever I close my eyes,

hoping for a moment of peace,

my mind begins replaying our old,

beautiful memories

spent together,

causing even more torment.

I cannot find peace.

So you better write to me,

if you really cherished me,

if you still remember I exist,

before I disappear completely

into thin air,

without a trace.
