SELF centered

Hello, how are you?

I’m fine.

But how are you really?

I’m…

Oh right, but I miss you dearly

Ok.

I’ve been out drinking and seeing loads of friends

I see.

I know we haven’t spoken, but I want to make amends

Ok.

I’m doing really well, I’m looking great too

Good.

I cut my hair, and I’m feeling brand new

Ok.

Work is going well, I even got a rise

Well done.

I worked really hard, so like I’m just not surprised

Ok.

I’ve got a headache though, and I’m really tired

Oh dear.

But it’s ok because, I’m feeling so inspired

Nice.

I’m seeing someone new, we’re doing really great,

Honestly he’s perfect, I think it must be fate.

My new flat’s divine, I’ve styled every space,

Painted the walls, I’ve got exquisite taste.

I started a project, it’s moving so fast,

Everything’s progressing, I’m unsurpassed.

I met a new friend, we go out all the time,

And oh, my garden, it’s looking sublime.

I booked a holiday, it’s going to be grand,

Flights, hotels, adventures, all superbly planned.

You should see my new outfit, you’ll love what I wear,

And don’t get me started on my new fancy chair.

Well I’m glad to hear, you’re doing so well,

I’ll call again soon, loads more to tell.......

I wonder how many of us can relate to these types of conversations....?
