You love the heat of the morning sun
as it shines within the window
I would rather cover my face
and await for the shadows return

You enjoy the brightness of every light
in the house on display
I would rather burn a million candles
illuminating the walls as we play

You beg me, please just leave
one light burning bright
unlike me it seems you see
in the darkness things that give you fright

ItΒ Β is so silly to me
But I grant you this wish
A night light shining bright
A kiss to tuck you in safe and sound
and a sign thats says
"Please, Don't turn of the lights..."
